Soon after I was born my respiratory rate when up and this was a cause for concern to the doctors. I was taken to the nursery and soon I was being ordered chest x-rays, an EKG, lab work and an IV. According to the lab work, some of my counts were high, signaling some sort of an infection. So I was ordered 2 days of antibiotics to start out with and little did I know that it would soon increase to 7 days of antibiotics. I also developed jaundice while in the hospital, so I spent 24 hours under the bili lights. I spent only one night in the nursery, and then the nurses were nice enough to let me go to my mommy's room to be with her. This made it much easier for family to come and visit so they can hold me, since only one guest can be in the nursery at a time.
