Baby Bidelspacher

Today was my first OB visit and I got to have my first ultrasound. Normally the doctor would do the first ultrasound a week or two later, but I am leaving out of town for 6 weeks, so we had to 'check things out' alittle earlier this time around!! This pregnancy has been a lot different than the first time with Morgyn. I am feeling nauseated ALL day long (why they call it "morning sickness" is beyond me!). Sometimes the smell or just the look of food makes me want to throw up! It's funny though, I feel as if I have to eat to calm my stomach. Weird.
I had the privilege to work with my OB doctor this week in surgery and he was asking me how things were going. I told him great other than the nausea. I told him everyone was telling me I was having a boy this time and he said, "I bet you're having twins!" I just about hit the floor. He had me alittle nervous about it, but I laughed it off. Then before he left, he said, "See ya Friday when we count babies!" So,...I told Kevin Dr. Bynum's joke of twins and Kevin said, "if that were true, I'd be getting fixed after that!" Dr. Bynum, having the sense of humor he does, decided to play alittle trick on Kevin...showing an ultrasound of what can look like twins!! (This really is my ultrasound picture, it's just a view that can look like multiple babies). However, I am truley only carrying one baby...thank goodness!! Not that we wouldn't be blessed to have twins, I would just prefer one baby at a time!
I spoke to Kevin after my appt. and told him I was carrying twins,... he didn't fall for it. I told him I had the picture to prove it, but still didn't believe me. I'm not a very good liar I guess...the joke only really got my mom. I wish I had a camera so you all could see the look on her face. After about a minute of getting her goat, I decided to tell her it was a joke because I seriously thought she was going to pass out!!! It was tooooo funny!!




All jokes aside, here is a picture of our little bambino/a Bidelspacher!! Kevin and I are thrilled about the newest addition!! Due date is set for July 28, 2009!!!!
