She's finally here!!!

Kheringtyn Grace finally decided to make her grand appearance on Wednesday, July 29th at 735pm, only one day past her due date! She weighed 8lb. 8.5oz and was 20" long.
The morning started with me taking Kevin to a dermatologist appt at 830am. At this point I was feeling fine and only had a few contractions at the appt. I did not think anything of it. After the appt, Kevin and I headed home for the afternoon. Kevin had decided to start pouring concrete for our walkway up the house. The weather has been extremely hot these last few days and I was just telling me mother-in-law how nice it would be to go into labor so I could be in an AC'd hospital room.
Around 1230pm I started to get a few more contractions, but they were every 5, 7, 10 minutes apart. However, they were starting to get alittle more intense. By 130pm, I was having them every 1-2 minutes apart and they were literally bringing tears to my eyes and I could not walk through them. Morgyn laughed at mommy in pain a few times as she saw me breathing thru them and said she wanted to help me push baby Kheringtyn out now.
I debated for awhile if I wanted to go into the hospital to get checked, as I was afraid I would be sent home and still only be 2cm 80% effaced. But then again, the pain was so intense, I just had to go, even if it meant being sent home. So we all packed up and headed into the hospital around 245pm. Kevin helped me out to the truck and his words to me were, "Honey, let's go have a baby!" Little did I know, that's what was really going to happen.
At 330pm I was 5cm with a bulging amniotic sac, 100% effaced! Yah, I was about to be admitted and I was 'eligible' for an epidural at this point! Nurse asked if I wanted an epidural right away, and I jumped on it! I really wanted/tried to go 'natural', but it didn't work out for me.
Around 6pm I was 8cm and the Dr. decided to break my amniotic sac, which would help speed up the dilation. By 720pm, I was 10cm and it was time to push. I pushed twice with the nurse and then stopped for 10 min. so the Dr. could set up the table and get the stem cell kit ready. She was 'right there' that in 1.5 more pushes the Dr. said she would be out. After 1 more push she was out at 735pm!!
Morgyn was in the room watching the entire time. Not one look of fear ever crossed her face. She knew exactly what was going on and looked very interested in the whole turn of events! She is one brave girl,...I knew she'd do well.
We got discharged on 7-31, Friday and are enjoying our new bundle of joy! I am so fortunate to have my husband and in-laws here to help out too for the next week. Sometimes I wonder how I'll be able to do it when they all leave next weekend? They are all a blessing and have been so helpful with Morgyn and keeping the house organized!
As soon as I get all the pictures off Kevin's computer, I will post some pictures. Until then, we are sooo blessed that Kheringtyn is healthy and are excited about our future with our new bundle of joy.
