Next stop we camped a few nights in Lake Chelan. Daddy has never been here either and we wanted to show him the beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains. It was a long day in the car driving from Ocean Shores to Lake Chelan, and we were all anxious to get out and stretch and Tucker was excited to take a swim!
Water was very cold, but that never stopped Morgyn from jumping in and playing.
Does there ever come a point where you just can't take the crying anymore, and you've tried every possible thing to make your child stop crying while you are driving? Well we had one of these moments and the last resort I had was a dum dum sucker. Not something I would ever give a one year old, but I did just that with constant supervision. Kheringtyn was soooooo tired, which I believe was part of the reason she was sooo fussy, not to mention she was cutting 2 molars (unbeknown to me at the time until I later discovered it). As she was sucking on the sucker, she kept her eyes closed the entire time and was clearly enjoying it. It was too cute AND it shut her right up!
