Hike to the Tide Pools

It was the first time for both Morgyn and I to take a hike to the tide pools on St. Croix. I wasn't sure how well Morgyn would do on a hike, not knowing the conditions of the trail or how long it was, but she really impressed Kevin and I. She hiked the whole way in and out (taking 50 min each way), no complaining and or saying she was tired! She just talked the whole way about how excited she was to be on a hike with us!

I think this was about the 1/2 way point, finally a beautiful view of the mountains and ocean.

Once we got to the beach we had to climb over huge rocks and go around a rocky point in the water to get to the tide pools. This is where SUPER DAD came in...he had to carry her on the rocks with waves crashing up on us!

We made it! The water was warm and the waves crashed up and over the big rocks, making it quite the experience.

After our hike we were hungry, so we stopped for a drink and bite to eat at Cane Bay Beach Bar.

We had such a great time on our hike as a family, and thank Grammy Elaine and Grampy Robbie for watching Kheringtyn for us. I know Morgyn had a great time and it's really only the 2nd time we've done something with JUST her.
