All of us kids and grandkids decided to help the parent's out around the place. Tracey jumped on the riding lawn mower and mowed with each of the kids taking turns riding with her, Tyler did all the egdging with the weed wacker, and Kevin and I did ALOT of weed pulling! It feels so nice to be able to help out the parent's since there's always so much to be done out at there place. Dad on the other hand kept it low key as he was only 5 days out from having a partial knee replacement. I tried my best to keep him down and resting, and he didn't do too bad. It's hard to just sit and watch everyone else working....
We BBQ'd some burgers and hot dogs after we were all through with the parent's cracking the whip on us and finally got to relax for awhile. JK Shelly showed up later and the picture above was her gift to Rita,....redneck wine glasses! What a hoot!
Grandpa Wes promised the grandkids a tractor ride before we left, and of course Kevin obliged to be the tractor driver. (Just another toy I'm sure he'd want to own one day, lol!) All the kids were supposed to get into the bucket, Kheringtyn only lasting about 2 min and wanting to sit on daddy's lap the rest of the time.
Up and down the driveway they went, and a few times he was able to lift the bucket up....however, the kids weren't really too fond of being that high up.
Another memorable Mother's Day down in the books....I always really cherish these times we get to spend together as a family, especially when Kevin takes the time to fly up from Florida to be with us.
