We had the pleasure of spending 2 short days with Grandma Elaine and Grandpa Robbie as they arranged a layover with us on their way back home to St. Croix! And it just so happens that it was during the time that mommy had her first doctors appt with her OB to see what's been growing inside her belly these last 9.5 weeks! Grandma Elaine came back into the room to see the baby on ultrasound for the first time with me, something special I'm sure she'll always remember.
Here is baby, measuring 3 cm CRL at 9 weeks 6 days. We saw baby squirming all over, arms and legs moving all around. We also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time, it was a strong 166 bpm! Kheringtyn was asking if the "baby was going to come out and get blood"...mommy reassured her we didn't want the baby to come out until she's almost 4 years old,...we still have lots of time!
Grandma Elaine came with a BIG surprise for Morgyn....she gave her her own laptop! Morgyn was sooo thrilled to get her own computer and has been playing on it everyday since! Grandma was sooo good at teaching her how to write letters with some of the basic functions of the keyboard. She's already written a letter to Grandma Corey, daddy, and Grandma Elaine and I think Santa is on her list next! Thank you Elaine for this gift, someday she may be teaching mommy and thing or two about computers as she is picking things up very fast on it already.
The girls always enjoy cuddle time with their grandma! Grandma's are the BEST aren't they? I sure miss mine....and hope these girls create many, many more memories with their grandparents.
